IN-PERSON STEM/STEAM MAKER CLASSES AND IN-PERSON KITCHEN LAB CLASSES FOR KIDS

Bring Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math to life through imaginative projects and delicious, science-based culinary creations.

In our STEAM Makers class, students explore real-world concepts through exciting demonstrations, hands-on experiments, and interactive builds. Each project is designed to spark creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving as Makers tinker, design, and discover.

In Kitchen Science Lab, student chefs step into the world of food science—experimenting with ingredients, observing chemical reactions, and learning the "why" behind the recipes. From mixing to measuring, cooking to creating, they explore the chemistry of food while preparing amazing dishes they can be proud of.

Kitoodle Creators is where playful exploration meets meaningful learning—igniting a passion for innovation, discovery, and lifelong curiosity.
Our program is offered to homeschool co-ops, preschools and elementary schools as a science enrichment class. Classes are once per week and are each one hour long. Kitoodle Creators offers in-person classes in the California cities of Pasadena, Arcadia, Glendora, Covina, Pomona and surrounding cities in the greater Los Angeles area.

THE FUTURE BELONGS TO YOUNG INNOVATORS

SCIENCE

In past classes, Makers have learned about endothermic reactions, crystallization and curdling while mixing ingredients together. In our Urban Garden unit, Makers compared hydroponics with greenhouse growing and learned how to use hygrometers. They also crushed corn to make cornmeal and recycled paper into plantable seed pods.

TECHNOLOGY

Our Creators have learned how to safely use a myriad of tools including wood burners, blenders, 3D pens, and screwdrivers. They have also learned about electricity and created projects with LED lights and circuits.

ENGINEERING

Makers tinker, build and engineer using various building materials that have practical applications. They implement the design process, practice problem solving, and learn to prototype and improve, just as engineers do. They also learn about the importance of the presentation of their final product.

MATH

Many of our projects utilize mathematical concepts. Makers learn to measure, quantify and estimate. They learn about linear and volume measurements and ratios. Our lessons also cover sequencing, patterns and 2D and 3D shapes.

REAL BUILDING TOYS FOR KIDS IN A MAKERSPACE ENVIRONMENT

Tools can unleash creativity. Being creative with a blank piece of paper might be more difficult than being creative if you have a set of building blocks or a colorful palette of playdough. But there are only so many building blocks, connector sets and STEM kits you can buy. In Kitoodle Creators classes, we give children a wide variety of tools, which have equivalent play value as building toys. We help them to learn to use them competently so the door to their imaginations can be opened. They never run out of materials to work with. They can tinker, build and experiment to their heart’s delight!
