In this 4-day workshop, students take on the role of candy makers and young entrepreneurs as they create, test, and refine their own sweet products. From melting and mixing chocolate to designing packaging and building a working candy dispenser, students explore how products are made, improved, and shared.

Over four days, students:

  • Create their own chocolate using real ingredients and processes
  • Conduct taste tests and compare different candies
  • Design a candy brand, including packaging and product ideas
  • Build a working candy dispenser to share their creations

Students think like real product designers—creating, testing, and improving their ideas.

Activities are designed for K–5th grade learners, encouraging problem-solving, creativity, and iterative design while remaining easy for instructors to facilitate.

All materials are included, making this an easy-to-run STEM activity that delivers strong engagement, real-world learning, and exciting take-home projects.
